What is CTRcade?

CTRcade is a free website of simple browser games with themes drawn from the scriptures and from Latter-day Saint life — word games, puzzles, memory games, and a few small adventures. Everything runs right in the browser. There is nothing to download and nothing to install.

Most games are designed for short sessions — a few minutes each — rather than the endless-session design common in mobile games.

Is CTRcade affiliated with the Church?

No. CTRcade is an independent, fan-made project. It is not owned, sponsored, endorsed by, or officially affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Scripture stories and gospel themes are used here for fun and learning, but nothing on the site is official Church material. For official resources, please go to the Church's own websites and apps.

We try hard to treat sacred subjects with respect. Conflict in our games is abstract and non-graphic, and depictions of religious figures are simple and stylized rather than realistic. If something here strikes you as irreverent or inaccurate, please tell us.

Does my child need an account?

No. There are no accounts, no logins, and no sign-ups. Your child can open the site and start playing immediately without entering any information.

Do you collect personal information about my child?

We never ask for names, email addresses, birthdays, photos, or location, and there is nowhere on the site to enter them.

Game progress — best scores, settings, how far a game has been completed — is saved in the browser's own local storage on your device. It never reaches us. Clearing your browser's site data for CTRcade erases it.

We do use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which games get played, configured with cross-device tracking and ad personalization turned off. It is used only in aggregate — never to identify or profile an individual visitor. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what that involves, how it fits COPPA, and how to opt out if you'd rather.

Can my child chat with other people?

No. CTRcade has no chat, no messaging, no comments, no usernames, and no multiplayer with strangers. Where a game supports two players, both players are on the same device taking turns, labeled simply “Player 1” and “Player 2.”

Can my child spend money?

No. Every game is free. There are no purchases, no in-game currency, no loot boxes, and no subscriptions. Nothing is locked behind a payment, and no game ever asks for money or interrupts play to sell anything.

There is a “Support CTRcade” box below the game list on the home page, a Support link in the footer, and this page — and nowhere else. They are meant for adults. None of them appear inside a game, so your child will not run into one while playing, and paying would require an adult's PayPal login or card on PayPal's own site. Nothing on CTRcade itself collects payment information. Our support page explains it in full.

Are there ads?

No. CTRcade shows no advertising of any kind — not banner ads, not video ads, not “rewarded” ads between levels. There are no ad networks or ad trackers on the site.

How do you decide what's appropriate?

Every game is designed and reviewed by us before it goes on the site. Our guidelines: no violence beyond abstract, non-graphic game mechanics (health bars and stylized effects, never blood or gore); no scary imagery; nothing that mocks or trivializes sacred things; and no user-generated content of any kind.

What can I do as a parent?

• Play a game or two yourself. It takes five minutes and tells you more than any policy page can.
• Set a time limit. Our games are built for short sessions, but kids are kids. Device-level screen time controls work well here.
• Talk about the stories. Many of the games are built on scripture narratives, and they make good conversation starters.
• Use parental controls built into your device, browser, or router if you want broader oversight of what your child can reach online.

Can I support CTRcade?

If you'd like to, you can leave a tip. It's completely voluntary, it unlocks nothing, and the site is identical whether or not anyone uses it. It goes toward hosting costs and the time that goes into building new games.
