Privacy Policy

CTRcade is a free games website made for kids and families. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the site does and doesn't collect, and what happens to it.

CTRcade is operated by Cerro Bello LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). If anything here is unclear, email contact@ctrcade.com — we'd rather answer a question than have a parent guess.

Information we do not collect

CTRcade has no sign-ups, no logins, no profiles, and no chat. We never ask players for a name, email address, phone number, birthday, photo, precise location, or any other personal information. There is nowhere on the site to enter it.

Because we don't ask anyone for personal information, we don't ask children for it either. That is a deliberate design choice and it is the foundation of how CTRcade approaches the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Information saved on your own device

To make the games work the way you'd expect, CTRcade saves a small amount of information in your browser's local storage — the browser's own scratch space on your device. This includes things like:

• your best scores and fastest completion times
• how far you've gotten in a game
• game settings, such as sound on/off and difficulty
• whether you've dismissed the “Add to Home Screen” prompt

This information stays in your browser on your device. It is not sent to us, we cannot read it, and it isn't tied to you as a person. If you clear your browser's site data, or play in private browsing mode, it disappears — along with your saved scores.

Analytics

CTRcade uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is being used overall — how many people visit, which games get played, and which pages have problems. Google Analytics sets a cookie and collects technical information such as an IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and which pages were viewed.

We have configured it more restrictively than its defaults:

• Google Signals is disabled, so no cross-device or demographic tracking takes place.
• Ad personalization signals are disabled, so the data is not used to build advertising profiles or serve targeted ads.
• We look at this data only in aggregate. We do not use it to identify, contact, or build a profile of any individual visitor, and we don't combine it with anything else.

Under COPPA, a persistent identifier such as an analytics cookie counts as personal information — but the rule permits collecting one without parental consent when it is used solely to support the internal operations of the site, which includes site analytics, and not for advertising or profiling. That is the only way we use it. Parents who would rather opt out entirely can block cookies for ctrcade.com in their browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The games work fine either way.

Advertising

CTRcade shows no advertising of any kind — no banner ads, no video ads, no “rewarded” ads between levels. There are no ad networks, ad trackers, or retargeting pixels on the site.

Tips and payments

If you choose to send a tip, the link takes you to PayPal's own website and the entire payment happens there. We never see, receive, or store your card number, bank details, or PayPal password. PayPal tells us only that a payment arrived, along with whatever name and email address the sender chose to share.

Nothing on CTRcade itself asks for payment information — there is no checkout, no stored card, and no payment form anywhere on the site. Tipping is optional and unlocks nothing. PayPal handles what it collects under its own privacy policy.

Fonts and hosting

Some pages and games load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those font files directly from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. No other information is sent, and the fonts are used purely for appearance.

The site itself is delivered by our hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) to keep the site online, secure, and working correctly. We don't use those logs to profile visitors.

What we never do

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not condition a child's participation on disclosing more information than is reasonably necessary — there is no information to disclose.

Links to other sites

A page here may occasionally link somewhere else. Once you follow a link away from CTRcade, you're on someone else's site under someone else's privacy policy. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their practices, and we encourage parents to review them.

Parents: your rights

Because we don't collect personal information from children, there is normally nothing for us to look up, correct, or delete. If you believe your child has somehow sent us personal information — for example, by including it in an email to us — write to contact@ctrcade.com and we will delete it promptly. We may ask a question or two to confirm you're the child's parent or guardian before acting on a request.

You can also erase everything CTRcade has saved on a device at any time by clearing site data for ctrcade.com in your browser's settings, and you can refuse the analytics cookie using the options described above.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we take reasonable technical measures to keep it secure. Keeping almost no data is itself the strongest protection we can offer: there is very little to lose.

Changes to this policy

If we change how CTRcade handles information, we'll update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be noted clearly on the site.
